Full text of error

Package.name One or more rows contain no data for column package.name

Description

Package.name is a required data element in GOKb, so every cell in this column must be populated. If the appropriate package doesn't exist in GOKb, it can be created through OpenRefine.

Solutions

If all the titles in your project are part of the same package

  1. In the first cell of your package.name column, click "Edit."
  2. In the edit dialogue that appears, right click in the white area.
  3. The GOKb lookup menu will appear. Choose "Package." The Lookup Package dialogue will appear.
  4. Type in the first few letters of the package you are looking for.
  5. If the correct package is available, choose it from the results list and click OK.
  6. If the correct pacakge is not available, type the name of the package as you wish it to appear in GOKb and click "Create New." See GOKb Naming Conventions for more detail on how to choose a package name.
  7. You will see the name of the package, along with a GOKb identifier, in the edit dialogue. (Ex. Cambridge University Press: All Titles::{Package:99826})
  8. Click "Apply."
  9. The package name will now be in the first cell in your column.
  10. Click the small triangle menu at the top of your column.
  11. Choose "Edit cells>Fill down." The package name and identifier will be filled down through all the remaining blank cells in your column.

If the titles in your project are part of different packages

  1. Use OpenRefine to facet your project to show only those titles that are in the same package.
  2. Perform steps 1-10 as described above.
  3. Re-facet your project to show the next group of titles in the same package.
  4. Repeat steps 1-10 above.
  5. Repeat this process as necessary for each group of titles in the same package.
