OpenRefine Warning Message: Import does not specify a CoverageDepth column

Full text of warning

CoverageDepth Import does not specify an CoverageDepth column

Description

This is the coverage depth as defined by KBART Guidelines. If this column is missing, you don't need to add it manually unless you believe your data contains non-fulltext resources.

Solutions

Use the KBART macro

  1. Note that this macro will only work if you are beginning with a KBART formatted file.  It will also rename the other KBART standard columns.
  2. Open the Rename KBART columns to GOKb columns macro.
  3. Copy the code found on the page beginning with the first open bracket and ending with the last close bracket.
  4. In OpenRefine, switch to the Undo/Redo tab.
  5. Click "Apply" and copy the code from the wiki page into the text box.
  6. Click "Perform operations."
  7. Change back to the Errors tab and verify that this error has disappeared.

Rename a column manually

  1. Open the quick resolution menu by clicking on the wrench icon in the upper right corner of the warning message, and selecting "Quick Resolution."
  2. Choose "Rename a column."
  3. A dropdown menu will appear listing all of the columns already in your project.
  4. Choose the one that contains coverage depth information and click "rename."
  5. The warning message should disappear.

Create a new column

  1. Open the quick resolution menu by clicking on the wrench icon in the upper right corner of the warning message, and selecting "Quick Resolution."
  2. Choose "Append a blank column."
  3. An empty column with the correct name will be appended at the right-most place in your project.
  4. You will need to manually type in coverage depth for each title.
