Install the GOKb Extension
The GOKb extension will allow you to use OpenRefine to check in a project, resolve errors and warnings, and ingest data into GOKb.
Steps
Step 1: Download the GOKb Extension
- Go to http://gokb.openlibraryfoundation.org/gokb/api/downloadUpdate
- Click the link to download the extensions.
- Your download will start automatically.
Step 2a: Install the GOKb Extension (Windows)
- The GOKb extension will be downloaded as a .zip file.
- Right click on the file name and select "Extract all..."
- Extract the files to a convenient location. You'll be moving them in a minute, so it doesn't matter where.
- Open the folder where you saved the OpenRefine application and navigate to ...\webapp\extensions.
- Drag the unzipped GOKb extension folder into the "extensions" folder.
- When you open OpenRefine, you will now be asked to log into GOKb with a user name and password.
Step 2b: Install the GOKb Extension (Mac)
- The GOKb extension will be downloaded to your dock as a folder named "gokb" (if one does not already exist).
- From the Finder, open the Library folder by selecting Go>Go to folder.
- For Google Refine 2.5
- Navigate to Library/Application Support/Google/Refine
- For OpenRefine 2.6
- Navigate to Library/Application Support/OpenRefine
- If it doesnt already exist, in this folder, create a new folder called "extensions."
- From the dock, drag the "gokb" folder into the "extensions" folder.
- When you open OpenRefine, you will now be asked to log into GOKb with a user name and password.
