Step 1: Download the GOKb Test Extension
- Go to https://github.com/k-int/gokb-phase1/wiki/GOKb-Refine-Extensions
- Choose Click the Test Kuali link to download .The Kuali Test extension will allow you to put test data into an internal testing environmentthe extensions.
- Your download will start automatically.
Step 2a: Install the GOKb Test Extension (Windows)
- The GOKb extension will be downloaded as a .zip file.
- Right click on the file name and select "Extract all..."
- Extract the files to a convenient location. You'll be moving them in a minute, so it doesn't matter where.
- Open the folder where you saved the OpenRefine application and navigate to ...\webapp\extensions.
- Drag the unzipped GOKb extension folder into the "extensions" folder.
- When you open OpenRefine, you will now be asked to log into GOKb with a user name and password.
Step 2b: Install the GOKb Test Extension (Mac)
- The GOKb extension will be downloaded to your dock as a folder named "gokb" (if one does not already exist).
- From the Finder, open the Library folder by selecting Go>Go to folder.
- For Google Refine 2.5
- Navigate to Library/Application Support/Google/Refine
- For OpenRefine 2.6
- Navigate to Library/Application Support/OpenRefine
- If it doesnt already exist, in this folder, create a new folder called "extensions."
- From the dock, drag the "gokb" folder into the "extensions" folder.
- When you open OpenRefine, you will now be asked to log into GOKb with a user name and password.
Step 3: Install the GOKb Live Extension
- Repeat the steps detailed in the Install OpenRefine module and create a second instance of OpenRefine.
- Rename the new instance of OpenRefine something that will differentiate it from the existing one – e.g., "OpenRefine (Live)."
- Repeat steps 1 and 2 above to download the Kuali Live extension and install it with the new instance of OpenRefine.
- OpenRefine will use the extension that is saved in the hierarchy below the instance of OpenRefine that you installed.
