Data
Data is surfaced to the user as key-value pairs, in grids, or, occasionally as text.
Key-value pairs
Key-value pairs are composed of a field label and the field’s value. When presented to the user the value should be displayed below the field label, as shown in “Agency code” below.
When the value is blank / the field is empty, a hyphen should be displayed as the value. As shown in “Support office hours” below.
Up to three key-value pairs can be displayed on a single row. When a page width is reduced the number of key-value pairs displayed on a row should reduce according to the available space.
Data in grids
Data is frequently presented in grids.
When a value is blank/the field is empty, the cell should be left blank. A hyphen should not be displayed.
