5. Jira/Confluence Upgrade - Weekend of Aug 10th.
   1. We have scheduled the upgrade for Confluence (from 3.4.5 to 3.5.17) and Jira (from 4.2.2 to 4.4.5) on August 10th.   Both Jira and Confluence will be unavailable for the extended maintenance period on Friday August 10th, 10pm ET to 9am ET.  You can view the maintenance period on the Kuali Infrastructure Calendar.  The impact should be minimal for users/developers. The upgrade process has been tested on https://test.jira.kuali.org and https://test.wiki.kuali.org.  We request jira-administrators and confluence-administrators become familiar with the changes.
   2. Recommended tests for Jira Admins at https://test.jira.kuali.org (4.4.5)
      1. Make sure you can login, and have the appropriate access, (example bulk change issues, access to your projects).
      2. Familiarize yourself with the new Administrator layout
      3. Check your filters, dashboards
      4. Create an issue and run it through a normal workflow for all your Jira projects

         1. Allows you to arrange the issues into multiple independent Hierarchical Structures.  Provides aggregated statistics (work log, time remaining etc)
         2. You may prefer to use GreenHopper for planning.  Structure provides a much simpler tool to visualize issues.
