KBARTEmbargo Import does not specify an KBARTEmbargo column

Description

This is the KBART embargo period as defined by KBART Guidelines. This field not required and is important only for packages where embargoes are used. In many packages, this field will be unneeded or Review the package columns to determine if it includes embargo data. If not, this column does not need to be added or can be left blank. 

Solutions

Use the KBART macro

  • Note that this macro will only work if you are beginning with a KBART formatted file.  It will also rename the other KBART standard columns.
  • Open the Rename KBART columns to GOKb columns macro.
  • Copy the code found on the page beginning with the first open bracket and ending with the last close bracket.
  • In OpenRefine, switch to the Undo/Redo tab.
  • Click "Apply" and copy the code from the wiki page into the text box.
  • Click "Perform operations."
  • Change back to the Errors tab and verify that this error has disappeared.

    Rename a column with a macro

    1.  Right-click any cell and select Apply Macro

    2. Search for the name of the package and/or provider to locate the correct macro, or search for the KBART (generic) macro.

    3. Click Ok to run the macro

    Rename a column manually

    1. Open the quick resolution menu by clicking on the wrench icon in the upper right corner of the warning message, and selecting "Quick Resolution."
    2. Choose "Rename a column."
    3. A dropdown menu will appear listing all of the columns already in your project.
    4. Choose the one that contains embargo information and click "rename."
    5. The warning message should disappear.

    Create a new column

    1. Open the quick resolution menu by clicking on the wrench icon in the upper right corner of the warning message, and selecting "Quick Resolution."
    2. Choose "Append a blank column."
    3. An empty column with the correct name will be appended at the right-most place in your project.
    4. You will need to manually type in embargo period for each title.
