Pull slip templates

The first step to configuring pull slip notifications is to set up pull slip templates. Templates contain the text of the email that will be sent to staff receiving these notifications.

To create a pull slip template:

  1. Navigate to Settings>Resource sharing>Pull slip templates

  2. Click the “New” button.

  3. Populate the template fields and click “Save and close.”

You may wish to use the following default text for your pull slip notifications.

Pull slip notifications

The pull slip notifications setting allows you to define one or more notification schedules.

To configure pull slip notifications.

  1. Navigate to Settings>Resource sharing>Pull slip notifications.

  2. Choose a pull slip template from the dropdown menu. This template will be used for all notifications.

  3. Click the “New” button at the top righthand corner of the screen.

  4. Populate the fields on the notification schedule and save.

Name

A human-readable label for the profile. Profiles will be sorted alphabetically by name.

Active status

This status determines whether or not notifications will be sent for a particular profile. Profiles can be disabled temporarily as needed.

Days

One or more days of the week on which the notification will be sent.

M, Tu, W, Th, F, Sa, Su

Times

One or more times of day at which the notification will be sent.

Time

Locations

One or more item locations for the pull slip notification. This setting enables notifications to be grouped and delivered to the correct location.

A dropdown menu will be provided and populated with any locations that have been associated with a filled request.

The email recipient(s) of the pull slip notification.

Printing pull slips

  1. Click the link in the pull slip notification email. This will take you to the ReShare Supply app, with the list view pre-filtered to requests awaiting pull slip printing.

  2. Click the “Actions” menu in the top righthand corner of the screen and select “Print pull slips.” This will bring up a printable view of your slips. Slips are printed two per page.

  3. Use your browser’s print functionality to print the slips.

  4. Close the print view.

  5. Any slips that you printed will be updated to a searching status.

Note: The link in the pull slip notification email should take the user to a pre-filtered view that includes only those locations associated with the notification. However, this functionality is currently not working. This will be fixed before the end of June 2021.

Reprinting pull slips

Individual request

  1. Open the Request record in either the Request or Supply app.

  2. Choose Actions>Print pull slip from the top righthand corner of the record.

  3. Use your browser’s print functionality to print the slip.

  4. If a slip has already been printed, reprinting it will not change the status.

Multiple requests

  1. Open the Request or Supply app.

  2. Use the search and filter options to create the set of pull slips you would like to print.

  3. Choose Actions>Print pull slip from the top righthand corner of the screen.

  4. Use your browser’s print functionality to print the slips.

  5. If a slip has already been printed, reprinting it will not change the status.
